With contract you pay a monthly bill and the minuets every month are atomaticly put on there. With most Pre paid phones you have to buy little cards with minutes on it and every time you run out or are just about out of minuets you have to go and buy those cards and call the number on the card a physicaly put the minuets on there. You also don’t have to worry about having a huge phone bill to pay each month either. With the pre paid you have just what you put on there and no overages. Also with pre paid you don’t have a contract that you have to uphold.

Prepaid phones are ideal for minors who are unable to enter into legal contracts; however, if the consumer intends to text message a lot or make lots of phone calls, more money will be spent on phone cards for the phone than would be spent on purchasing a contract cell phone.
